Words and Pictures: Series 10 (Stuart Bradley)
Series 10 of the BBC Schools TV series Words and Pictures from the 1990s, covering English for Primary pupils.
A series of Words and Pictures programmes presented by Stuart Bradley and the cat puppet Nutmeg, who doesn't exactly speak to him but gives a wide variety of "miaow"s!
These programmes feature story readings each week in different forms, and use the story as the basis for a theme which is explored through visits out from the studio to relevant locations by Stuart and Nutmeg in person, to talk to people about a relevant activity and look for words to read in the environment. There are also animations and demonstrations of letter formation from the magic pencil.
The programmes are made particularly contemporary by Nutmeg using a state-of-the-art early 1990s word processing computer in the studio, typing out tongue twisters for reading practice.
Stuart and Nutmeg returned in the autumn term for a further series of episodes.
