The Saga of Erik Nobeard is a unit of the BBC schools radio series Music Makers from the 1980s, covering music for primary and secondary school pupils.

A comic musical based on a Norse legend.

Amongst all the many conquering and impressively bearded Vikings who come to seek the hand of his daughter, King Harald selects the young, unaccomplished and distinctly un-bearded Erik Nobeard. The mischievous god Loki intervenes and send Erik on a quest to prove himself by slaying the monster Grumbel.
