Zig Zag: Kenya
Kenya is a unit of the BBC Schools TV series Zig Zag from the 1990s & 2000s, covering geography for primary school pupils.
Kenyan youngsters Evangeline and Nana introduce viewers to their contrasting home lives near Mount Kenya and in Nairobi. There is also a traditional Kenyan story told in most of the episodes. An additional final episode, added later, presents a helicopter tour around the country.
This unit was originally known as simply An African Country, and it is designed to encourage viewing pupils to compare their own lives in Britain with those of the Kenyan families.
