The German Programme: Willkommen!
Willkommen! is a unit of the ITV Schools series The German Programme from the 1990s, covering German language for Secondary pupils.
A group of trendy German teenagers present various features entirely in German to inspire intermediate learners. They sing and dance and reenact their everyday lives in comic sketches.
The programmes were made in Cologne
, cover vocabulary and grammar, and include review sections with words and phrases shown on screen.
The unit was advertised as suitable for 11-14 year-olds in 1995, adjusted to 11-16 year-olds in 1996, and finally settled upwards at 13-16 year-olds in 1997.
