Videothek GCSE is a unit of the ITV Schools series The German Programme from the 1980s & 1990s, covering German language for secondary and further education pupils.

A series of short items - 25 altogether across five episodes - each showing a different aspect of life in modern Germany.

They were recorded in Mainz Violet-marker.png and mainly involve local people talking about things in their own words, though obviously in situations staged for television, to offer a realistic experience of conversation for pupils preparing for oral and aural exams at GCSE level or above.

The format of the programmes mirrored the successful Vidéothèque programmes that Thames TV had already made in The French Programme and which would also be used to launch The Spanish Programme for schools as Videoteca.
