Stop, Look, Listen: 1992-93
Details of 1992-93 broadcasts of the ITV Schools series Stop, Look, Listen - later repeated as part of Channel 4 Schools - covering topics for primary school pupils.
The 11 new episodes made this year contributed to units on 'Then and Now', 'How Things Work' and 'Creatures Around Us'
The episodes made the final use of the traffic light face opening titles and High Life theme tune. Later repeats introduced the new scrapbook opening titles and theme tune.
The narrators were Matthew Kelly and Bryonie Pritchard, and the Homes episode was presented by a young girl.
The units on Then and Now and Creatures Around Us were both repeated in the next academic year, 1993-94, as part of the newly launched Channel 4 Schools service, at the start of the autumn term and the end of the summer term respectively. Creatures Around Us was repeated again in summer 1995. In the Channel 4 Schools era this site covers Stop, Look, Listen unit-by-unit instead of year-by-year, starting with How to Find Out.
Stop, Look, Listen was not broadcast in the summer term 1993. This was actually the only school term in the 25 years from 1971-2 to 2005-6 that Stop, Look, Listen was not broadcast in England. Mathsbook was shown in its usual timeslot instead.
1992-93 was the 17th of 26 years of new broadcasts, and the 22nd of 38 years overall, for Stop, Look, Listen.
11 of the 20 episodes broadcast this year were new, and the episodes first broadcast this year were repeated until 1995.
