Episode Guide

1. Cereals

A family at breakfast chooses between different cereals. We then follow the process of making Weetabix starting in a field of wheat, which is harvested by combine harvesters and taken to a factory by lorry. The wheat grains are blended, dried and pressed before being moulded into biscuits and cooked. The finished products and wrapped into packets, sent through a metal detector to make sure none of the machinery has come off, and finally sent out again by lorry to be sold.
