6. Cheese (1985)

There are different types of cheese on sale in a supermarket, which all taste different but are all made from milk.

We follow the cheese-making process at a traditional dairy farm where the farmer's wife operates the milking machine and the farmer thickens the milk and cuts the curds then minces and moulds it into different types of cheese.

The same process is then shown at a modern factory, where the milk arrives in huge tankers, the thickening takes place in large drums, machinery presses and moulds the cheese, and a production line wraps and packs the final product. A cheese tester smells and feels it, and the factory finally turns out blocks of Double Gloucester.
