School Transmission (5IT) is a BBC schools radio series from the 1920s, covering Miscellany.

  • schools programmes on the BBC's Birmingham station 5IT were initially broadcast on Tuesday afternoons in 1924-25, and three days a week from Autumn 1925
  • the programmes were presented as lecture series, the most frequent topic was English Literature, given by Alfred Hayes
