Scene: Two-Way Traffic
Two-Way Traffic is an episode of the BBC schools TV series Scene from the 1960s and 1970s, covering citizenship for secondary school pupils.
Sally and Marge regularly visit an arthritic and difficult elderly man after school and help with his shopping. Sally continues to visit Jim even after Marge gives up, and after she gets a new boyfriend. One day she goes out instead of visiting Jim, and his reaction makes her realise how important the visits are, and what he can give back to her.
