From the teacher's notes
"An emotional political drama set against the background of the inexorable destruction of the Amazon rainforest. This relevant new drama explores the emotional dilemma of an individual caught between parental duty and personal belief. (...)
Douglas Hodge has maintained very close links with the National Youth Theatre since he was 16 years old. This drama allowed him to return to the NYT, using 150 of their young people to play the part of the rainforest." - Scene teacher's notes spring 1996 p.34.
