The Hospital is an episode of the BBC schools TV series Scene from the 1970s, covering citizenship for secondary school pupils.

Documentary filmed in a small London hospital over the course of a week, covering the wards, the operating theatre and the laboratories. Most of the patients are elderly, and the younger nurses are shown looking after them.

==From the teacher's notes==

"The aim of the programme is to make pupils think about some of the people whose job it is to care for others. It is not a programme to give pupils information about careers they might choose, but rather to encourage them to think about the people who choose a demanding job which is comparatively poorly paid." - Scene teacher's notes summer 1978 p.13.
