Scene: Mum, Where Are You?
Mum, Where Are You? is an episode of the BBC schools TV series Scene from the 1970s, covering citizenship for secondary school pupils.
Teenagers Susan and David live with their widowed mother Sheila. They wake up one morning to find no sign of their mother, and organise a party for the evening. They have doubts and worries about what has happened to their mother, which build when she has still not returned the following morning.

"The aim of the programme is to help pupils to understand that their parents are individuals with lives and problems of their own, and thus to promote better understanding between parents and children." - Scene teacher's notes spring 1975 p.9.
