Getaway - Maps and Compasses is an episode of the BBC schools TV series Scene from the 1970s, covering citizenship for secondary school pupils.
A programme presented by Jimmy Savile, following a group of young people walking, map reading and hostelling as they cross the South Downs in Sussex from Fristom to Alfriston.

"This final transmission (of the spring term) is designed to get members of the class out and about to show some of the interesting people and things that can be discovered on even the simplest of expeditions." - Scene teacher's notes spring 1975 p.22.
