This extremely boring page lists all of the individual broadcast dates for the Look and Read stories on the BBC.
From 2001 onwards things were not as simple as they were in the old days. There were no more easy weekly schedules with 2 broadcasts a week, as surely everybody was recording them by now instead of watching live off the telly. Instead, the programmes were slotted in wherever they could fit. These pages aim to keep track of all the broadcasts, no matter how complex.
Also from 2002, Look and Read was regularly shown on the new digital CBBC Channel. Listings for this channel are on their own pages of this website.

- BBC2 really hates having to show schools programmes! This story was originally scheduled to be repeated on Thursdays at 11:10, March 6th to April 3rd, 2003.
Then the entire schools schedule was rearranged and drastically reduced to accommodate some new political programmes, the new plan being to run this story at 11:00 every Friday, with Episode 6 shoved in at 10:20 on April 4th, 2003 (before the regular broadcast of Episode 5 -- completely ruining the ending for anybody following the story for the first time!).
Then they decided to shove in some extra sports coverage (World Indoor Athletics on March 14th, 2003), losing one of the broadcasts of Zzaap. The sixth episode was therefore dropped, and the schedule rearranged as detailed above.

There was also scheduled to be a repeat of Spelling Strategies, on Mondays at 10:50 from 02-Jun-08 to 16-Jun-08.
However during May 2008, in the middle of the summer term, there was a significant change to the schools TV schedules on BBC2. The slots at 1pm on Mondays and Tuesdays which had previously been used for schools programmes were suddenly given over to the drama serial Out of the Blue, and so there was suddenly 1 hour less schedule time for schools (a reduction of about 16% of broadcast hours). The programmes that would have been shown in the afternoons were therefore rescheduled, and the slots where Look and Read would have been shown were used for Primary Geography: Water programmes instead.
From what I understand, this was not necessarily a case of BBC2 chucking out the schools programmes in favour of a soap, the decision was made for different reasons (which should be reported here if I find them out!).

BBC Two - typically disdainful of schools programmes - failed to make any on-air announcements to tell people when they could see the missed episode.

- The final episode of Captain Crimson on 26th March 2010 was the final schools programme shown during the daytime by the BBC. From summer 2010 onwards all schools programmes were confined to the very early hours of the morning.
