1984 is an ITV schools TV series from the 1980s, covering various topics for secondary school and further education students.
- short series inspired by the novel 1984 by George Orwell and broadcast at the start of that year, including an analysis of the novel and four programmes looking at themes of the novel - three documentaries and one science fiction drama
- this replaced a series called Britain which had been advertised in the ITV School annual programme guide booklet, which was to feature Stuart Hall examining British institutions in the 1980s
- repeated in spring 1985 as part of The English Programme
