It's a Tough Life is a unit of the BBC schools TV series Scene from the 1970s, covering citizenship for secondary school pupils.

Two films about contrasting ways of training dedicated and enthusiastic teenage boys. Football Apprentices is about boys training at Liverpool Football Club in the hope of becoming professional footballers, and Every Day We Dance is about fifth-year boys at the Royal Ballet lower school.
