German Readings and Dialogues is a German-language BBC schools radio series from the 1920s and 1930s, covering German Language for secondary school and further education students.

  • replaced Readings in Foreign Languages, along with French Readings and Dialogues
  • all German series were abandoned during war time; a new series of German for Sixth Forms was eventually re-introduced in 1961
  • Originally known as German Readings and Dialogues, then as German for Older Pupils, then as German for Fifth and Sixth Forms, and as weekly-alternating series German for Fifth Forms and German for Sixth Forms. Also billed in Scotland as German Talks and Dialogues.
